Art is a way for a person to express themselves or their
opinions, whether it is through music, theater,
painting, etc. Art is a creative way for a person to
share the world through their eyes. One person may view
something as art while another person does not see that
same thing as art. It is all in the opinion of the
artist.

Art is what people draw, act, and sing to entertain
themselves and the public. We create art to express
ourselves and to bring joy to others. Art is a creative
outlet for people to express their emotions

Art can be many different things to many different
people. To me, art is an expression of two things. It
should be an expression of the artist's view on society
and their feelings about certain topics. It should be a
way to express feelings that otherwise would be
inexpressible. However, I feel that it should also
encourage feelings or emotion in others as well. If the
artist fails to capture his emotions in a way that
others can't sympathize with, he has failed. Art should
make things expressible that normally would not. It is
a form of communication.

To me art is something that initially grabs my attention
upon first sight. It does not necessarily have to be
beautiful, because beauty is based on interpretation;
but it is something that is interesting and intriguing.

I belive that art is any form of medium used by a person
or a society to express a belief, value, feeling,
desire, or emotion.

Art is many different things. I think art is determined
by the person who is evaluating it.Music is art. Nature
is art. I am art. Poetry is art. Even my little cousins
drawing on the wall can be considered art. Some people
think art has to be perfect paintings by famous dead
artists;that is not true. Art I think is in the eye of
the beholder.

Art is any form of expression used to convey a specific
thought, emotion or event. The boundaries of art are
limitless and are not contained to any individual person
or group. Art is what each person takes from a creation.

In my opinion, art is an expression of a thought or
feeling that appeals to the senses in some way. Art
comes in many forms, from visual art to performance art.

In my opinion art is anything that someone makes as an
expression of themselves. We may not view what they
have made as art, but if they have used it in a way to
express their feelings then I think it is considered art.

Art is something created by an individual or a group
that appeals to one or more of the senses. Art is
defined differently by each individual; therefore, what
may appeal to one may not appeal to others.

I believe art happens when a person creates(or as we
learned in class) uses something to express theirself
and tell a story. Most art becomes something beautiful
and is made for others to enjoy, but I think art is
simple self expression.

I believe that art is a person't
interpretation of their surroundings--what they hear,
see, smell, taste, or feel. The art can be in differnt
forms, such as music, sketches, writings, sculptures,
or paintings. IT portrays culture as a way of life and
it is a mechanism of self-expression. It is a means of
expressing your values and it is a way of expressing

I think that art is the relationship humans have with
nature. Art is a way that an individual can express his
or her own emotions and feelings towards something. Art
is helpful when expalining different time periods and
the way that society loos at nature and the surroundings
as an abstract. Art helps a person define who his or
she is.

Art is whatever a the person looking at it may see it to
be. I think of art as music and paintings. Some people
see art as just throwing some paint on a canvas, but
others may see that as being a waist of time. Art can
only be defined by the person who is viewing the piece
in question.

Art can be anything that a person wants it to be.
Everything is art. It is a person's imagination and
creativity which is put into something that everyone can
enjoy. All around the world, art can be seen in
different aspects. Nature, man-made items, paitings, etc
can all be considered art. The value of someone's
artwork is the value that the person percieves it to be.

Subject: What is Art?/
Art is an expression, emotions shown through the artist
eyes whether it is expressed through a painting, poetry,
music or drama. Art is created for many purposes. Art
has been created for centuries. I also see art as a
message to others from the past, present and future.

Art is something that is difficult to put into
definition. I would say that art is a representative
expression of a religious belief, idea, philosophy, or
statement. Art encompasses only what one wants to accept
as art. It is truly in the eyes of the artist or the
viewer of the art. While millions of people may view
Picasso's works as art, maybe only 5 people view my
little sister's finger painting art..... but both ARE
art in the eyes of those who decide that they value it
to be so.
