2310 Course Survey Fall 2000
Student 14
1. This was a tough class. It took a lot of time & effort, but I did
learn a lot. And if you do the assignments, it's not that hard to pull
out an A or a B.
2. It integrates several different subjects, usually an area in the arts,
into one and helps the student to relate the subjects.
3. Much more challenging but will probably remember much more.
4. Yes, it does. I loved the way you used slides & the computer so that
we could see actual pictures of the places we were studying. It's nice
to know that the teacher is very informed on the subject she is teaching.
I also liked the hands on activities.
5. hands-on activities; unites on color, line & shape, and the self;
I also enjoyed the Tao of Pooh.
6. having to read from those 3 books (Humanistic Traditions); they didn't
really help that much. You covered the subjects well in class.
7. Probably not because I am a pre-pharmacy student and have to deal
mainly with chemistry but I do feel that I learned a great deal of interesting
things.
8. I learned a lot about myself. I will also appreciate the visual arts
much more now that I know all the things about color, line & shape.
9. The units on Japan and China and also the one on the Greek house of
prayer; I just am not interested much in things like this, so it wasn't
fun for me to learn.
10. The color, line & shape unit because I enjoyed the material.
11. I liked being able to go in and look at all of our assignments at
once. Also, you did an excellent job of summarizing the class notes in
the course package. It was a big help on the exam essays.
12. The Yoruba ring project really helped to engrain that material in
my head. The Tao of Pooh did an excellent job of explaining Taoism. Sometimes
I dreaded the WebCt postings, but having to do those really made me look
at the course material and study it more.
13. The unit on the self.
14. Definitely my shape preference changed towards the end of the semester.
I never thought about some of the things I do meaning what they do.
15. No. I liked the color unit much more. I'm not interested in history
much.
16. It was tough, but I learned a lot. Keep up the good work and thanks
for being so prompt with our grades.
