Arkwright is the site of a former Georgia Power coal power plant. It has been decommissioned and removed. There is a proposal to convert some of the facility into public access.
There is a private landing down the road just north of the old plant, but it is posted against trespassing.
Located one mile south of Riverside Dr. (US 23) and about two miles north of the Arkwright Rd. exit on Interstate 75.
