This landing is very well developed, including a large paved parking area and paved boat ramp. It is maintained by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Resources Division. The river is in a swift pool at this location, which makes it a nice site for both powered and non-powered boats.
The developed DNR landing is on the east bank, in Jasper County, and the paved approach road turns off of Hwy. 83 to the south side of the road. On the Monroe County side, there is a primitive access to the river via a steep paved turnoff and a muddy access to a rather steep slide directly beneath the highway bridge.
The boat ramp is beneath the Hwy. 83 bridge one mile east of the intersection of Hwy. 83 with US 23 at Berner.
