The following list of countries reflects a broad interpretation of the Middle East as the Islamic World. Some of these countries do not have a strrong web presence, and I have linked to the University of Texas Center for Middle Eastern Studies (Qatar, Mauritania, Oman, Bahrain). For the other countries, we have a substantial link list. Several of these countries are cross-listed under our Asian and African pages.

Try searching for "fight" or "strive" to get the text of Qur'an on the jihad, or search for "women" to find Qur'anic teachings on women.
