IDST 2305: The Heroic Quest is a core course at GC&SU which fulfills the literature requirement of Area C. The Heroic Quest is an interdisciplinary exploration of cross-cultural archetypes of he heroic journey and Joseph's Campbell's notion of the "hero with a thousand faces." The course surveys heroic archetypes through the literature, art, drama, film, and music of the great civilizations of the world.
