The class will explore the state of the world at the beginning of the twenty-first century from the perspective of various disciplines, and will focus on four major areas:

(B) GENDER ISSUES AND FAMILY ISSUES

(C) CONFLICT AND DIVERSITY

(D) HEALTH AND THE ENVIRONMENT
