NOTE: There will not be class on Tuesday Oct. 23 or Thursday Oct. 25 because Dr. Magoulick will be out of town at an academic conference. Your assignment is to watch the film Whale Rider during this time and to fill out this worksheet, which is due at the beginning of class on Monday, Oct. 29 (one of our evening sections from 5-6:50pm). The film is on reserve at the library & can be watched in viewing rooms there (also on Netflix). Remember that you must also be prepared to take your second exam of the semester that Monday (Oct. 29) during our evening section (this is the next time we will meet). This exam will include a long answer essay that you must develop (to about 5 paragraphs) and use examples from class that you analyze to make your point.

NOTE: Since you are watching this film as a class assignment, you may NOT use it for the extra credit (as well).
